My life as a Counselor in Training By: Remy

At first, it was kind of weird. I’ve been a camper for 4 summers and this is my first year as a counselor in training.  Everything is sort of the same and it’s also very different.  I get more responsibilities and more freedom.

I’m in the Galileo cabin with “Bambi” and we have the youngest girls cabin.  I have to say I was very nervous because I didn’t know what to do or if the girls would like me.  I have to say I am the luckiest Counselor in training because I have the most amazing cabin.  Every single one of the girls are great and unique and they make the cabin feel like home.  I love them so much.

For activities I’m basically another camper, I mean I help out a lot more.  I like helping and getting to know the behind the scenes of camp.  I now realize it’s not as simple as it looks.

I think this has been an amazing experience, truthfully, I have learned so much about what it takes to be a counselor and I will cherish this opportunity forever and I hope to be here next year as well!
