The Great California Road Trip
July 27th-August 5th – $1494
Experience some of the greatest natural and tourist sites in the great state of California on this 10-day road trip! From the Redwoods in Big Sur to Alcatraz in San Francisco and even all the way over to the massive Yosemite Valley. We’re going to see it all and hit every crazy tourist stop on the way!
The Itinerary (trip plans are tentative and some details may change)
Day 1 – Camp – The Teens arrive at our camp in Cambria, CA. We’ll spend our first night at camp, as our groups gets to know each other. We’ll pack up our van, roast some marshmallows, and get prepped for the journey ahead.
Day 2 – Big Sur – A short drive up the beautiful Highway 1 and we’ll arrive at our first stop in Big Sur! We’ll set-up our campground and then head off to explore the Redwood trees and rivers. We’ll get pictures at the amazing McWay Falls, and spend the night enjoying a sky full of stars.
Day 3 – Monterey – We’ll continue up the coast to the city of Monterey Bay. In Monterey, we’ll be staying in a private hostel (separate rooms for girls and boys) and once we get settled in we’ll go walk the historic Cannary Row. Next we’ll go to the world renown Monterey Bay Aqurium and even go behind the scenes to see animals being fed!
Day 4 & 5 – San Francisco – After leaving Monterey, we’ll travel to the San Fran and check into our private Hostel on Fisherman’s Wharf. We’ll spend 2 days exploring, including a tour of Alcatraz, a ride on the famous trolley cars, a visit to Pier 49, and of course a walk out onto the Golden Gate Bridge!
Day 6 & 7 – Lake Tahoe – After taking in the city by the bay, our trip will head east until we arrive at the magnificent Lake Tahoe. We’ll be camping out on the Lake’s west side, with easy access to hiking trails and swimming spots.
Day 8 & 9 – Yosemite – The last stop on our trip might just be the best, the gorgeous Yosemite National Park! We’ll see amazing waterfalls, Half-dome, El Captian, and go for a swim in the crystal waters of Mirror Lake. Yosemite is always unforgettable!
Day 10 – Exhausted but amazed, we head back to camp!
