Want to Lead Your First Backpacking Trip?
If you are between the ages of 16-21 and you are looking for a way to get more experience leading backpacking trips, this is a great opportunity for you!
We are looking for motivated and experienced teens to be apprentices. We need one for each of the 3 backpacking trips!
Please apply if you:
-Have been on a multi-day backpacking trip with a camp or company such as: NOLS, HMI, Wilderness Ventures or many others
-Know how to work an MSR backpacking stove
-Are familiar navigating with USGS topo maps and compasses
-Are capable of effecting positive peer leadership (mentoring folks your same age)
-Have other significant leadership experiences
A Complete Application Includes:
-A cover letter that explains your previous experience in the wilderness, and with peer leadership. Emphasize why your experience as an apprentice would help your future goals. Include which trip you would like to lead in order of preference.
-Complete camp application
