Camp Activities
Campers at Camp Ocean Pines get to choose their own activities each day. Activities offered vary by group and session, and we are adding new activities all the time! All activities on-site are available for every camper to try.
TARGET SPORTS
Our target sport range is a camper favorite! We offer archery, slingshots and ax throwing.
PERFORMANCE
Campers can dive into a world of creativity and expression with our performance activities! From acting 101 to lively talent shows, campers can explore their passions in music, drama, dance, and more.
SOCIAL
One of our camp’s goals is to create connections between campers and staff. These activities are designed for campers to get to know each other, it could range from hammock hang-outs, Dungeon and Dragons, reporting for The Pines Times newspaper, and more!
SPORTS
We love sports and games at Camp Ocean Pines! Campers can choose from camp favorites such as GaGa Ball and 9-Square. Our staff also leads camp favorites such as kickball, spikeball tournaments or yoga.
ARTS AND CRAFTS
Our Crafts Lodge is a crafty kids dream! Some examples of our art and crafts sessions include tie-dye, watercoloring, jewelry making, nature crafts, and on special occasions campers get full freedom to whatever their heart desires.
SCIENCE & NATURE
Our staff encourages campers to explore the natural world around them and make connections. These activities include meet and greets with our animal ambassadors, gardening in our greenhouse, and outdoor survival skills.
BAKING & COOKING
Our cooking and baking activities are some of our camper favorites! Staff will lead campers in bake-off competitions, teach them outdoor cooking over a fire, or try ultimate s’mores!
OFFSITE
Located on the Central Coast of California, we have so many options to explore around us. We take our campers kayaking on Morro Bay, hang out at Cayucos Beach, hike at San Simeon Cove, and go sand-duning at Montano de Oro State Park.
