SCIENCE CAMP CURRICULUM
Daytime Lesson Blocks
These lesson blocks are 3 or 1.5 hours each and cover topics in marine science, forest/earth science, and skill building. Options include:
Animal Adaptations
Forest Hike
Indigenous Sustainability
Marine Lab
Target Sports
Teambuilding
Tidepool Exploration
Nature Art
Evening Activities
Evening activities are 1.5 hours long and take place after dinner. Each group will have one evening activity per day. Options include:
Astronomy
Campfire
Crepuscular Avengers (a camp favorite, student vs. teacher game!)
Owl Pellet Dissection
Night Adaptations
Squid Dissection
Off-site trips
Located on the Central Coast, there are many beautiful areas to explore and deepen your students’ experience. These are optional excursions you can add on to your trip. The extra costs will be added on to the overall cost of camp. Please contact our team for more details. Options include:
Elephant Seal Rookery (15 minute drive)
Morro Bay Estuary Exploration (30 minute drive)
Morro Bay Kayaking (30 minute drive)
San Simeon Beach Ecology (15 minute drive)
