Camp is Special
Kids love camp for all sorts of reasons-it’s a place they connect with friends, learn independence, and get to be authentically themselves. A place they can feel safe, free, and play all day.
Camp Ocean Pines is unique in so many ways. Read more about what we do best below.

Authentic Relationships
We believe in giving kids the space and agency to just be kids! That means kids leave the screens behind and spend their time making real, authentic connections that turn into lifelong friendships.
Campers live in cabins with others their own age and enjoy activities with campers of all ages. This balance allows them to connect with kids their age while also learning how to collaborate, communicate, and connect with a wide range of people.
Intentionally Small and Inclusive
At capacity, our community is 80 campers, 8 teen leaders, and 30 staff, making it easy for every staff member to get to know your camper—including our camp director! Here, the camp director isn’t a distant figure in a stuffy office. She’s sitting at your kid’s lunch table and playing Capture the Flag. She knows your kid’s name, and yours, too.
Knowing someone’s name is the first step toward creating a space where they belong. We strive to create a space where every kid is celebrated and supported. That means offering a variety of activities, three cabin options (girls, boys, and all-gender), a Restorative Justice practice when conflicts arise—and so much more.

Choice-Based Fun
Whether your camper loves exploring nature and meeting our camp animals, boogie boarding on a beach trip, getting creative in the crafts lodge, or reading in a hammock, there’s something for everyone at camp.
Main Camp campers follow a choice-based schedule, giving them the freedom to choose their activity during each block. Cabins take turns signing up first, so different campers get the chance to snag spots in their favorite activities.
Choice-based scheduling also means that activities bring together campers from different cabins, making mixed-age and mixed-gender play a natural part of everyday camp life.
