Join us for a fun-filled quilting getaway at beautiful Camp Ocean Pines, nestled along the stunning Pacific Coast in Cambria, California!
Enjoy 4 days and 3 nights of creativity and connection (beginning with lunch on Tuesday and wrapping up late Friday morning) in a relaxed, inspiring setting overlooking the rugged coastline.
This retreat is hosted by Sue Johnston and staff from The Quilted Otter in Morro Bay, CA, along with special guests sharing their knowledge and inspiration. The retreat is primarily a BYOP (Bring Your Own Projects) experience with plenty of open sewing time—plus a splash of fun with daily themes and optional classes! Explore techniques like:
Otter & Sea Creature Appliqué
Working with Batiks
Beginner & Advanced AccuQuilt Methods
Creating a Bargello Quilt
You can also join optional daily Skillbuilder Sessions to build confidence and expand your skills. Evenings include lighthearted activities and a playful retreat challenge—or simply sew the night away!
All skill levels are welcome! Newer quilters are especially encouraged—there will be dedicated time for guidance, tips, and hands-on help. A pop-up quilt shop will be onsite, along with an exclusive retreat kit and pattern available for purchase.
Design walls, ironing stations, Accuquilt Go! Big Cutter and many dies, and ample workspace will be provided. Quilters should bring their own machines and supplies (limited rental machines available).
Want to explore? Optional group outings may include visiting local sea lions, touring Hearst Castle, walking Fiscalini Ranch Preserve, or stopping by a nearby quilt shop—or simply relaxing and taking in the ocean views.
Come stitch, learn, laugh, and unwind—you otter be there!
