Skip the Grout!
Join us for an opportunity to transform beads and micro beads into a vibrant, textured work of art in a mosaic worthy of admiration and joy. Leave behind heavy tiles, sharp shards and messy grout, instead learning how to layer beads and mix colors while you explore the tactile world of beadwork and mosaic design.
Craft a striking, shimmering piece of art, all while soaking in the scenic views at Camp Ocean Pines. Whether you choose to design a seascape inspired by the California Coast, a rolling mountain-scape or garden design, or a bold abstract composition, you’ll leave with a beautiful finished piece and the skills to keep creating!
The workshop will be taught by professional Colorado-based mosaic artist Renee Walkup, President of the Colorado Mosaic Artists Guild. She creates unique hand-crafted works and began teaching art classes by utilizing her background as a former corporate speaker and international trainer. She is a professional in training adults from the ground up, intentionally focusing on different learning styles to maximize learning and help every student thrive.
The workshop takes place in the spacious Crafts Lodge that features a whimsical floor-to-ceiling mosaic fireplace and well-lighted work spaces with surrounding forest and coastal views.
